
As my cab stopped in front of Westbourne Grove Church, under a cloudy sky that enhanced its gothic allure, I smiled—ready to experience my third fashion show of London Fashion Week.
We all know that in life, once you gain a reputation—whether good or bad—it follows you around, introducing you before you even speak and shaping people’s expectations. THE CREATIVES is known for organizing high-quality fashion shows, so I walked into the building already knowing I was in for a great time. The environment, as expected, was highly professional, well-equipped, clean, and welcoming.
As I moved through the venue, filming snippets for my fashion documentary and briefly interviewing guests, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with designers and models I’d met during the Summer Collection. Seated in my chair, I listened as host Hannah Kenifick introduced the show to a silent crowd—tense, on the edge of their seats, holding their breath. I barely blinked as I was introduced to an incredible line-up.
The show opened with a strong statement from AXUM, storytelling through vibrant colours, African patterns, and thick embroidered fabrics—redefining contemporary streetwear and elevating it with touches of maximalism. Delta of Phoenix once again did not disappoint, bringing its signature overtly feminine extravagance to the catwalk with voluminous poufs, bows, layered designs, and baby pink accessories.
KF Fashion Shop presented a fresh take on classic chic couture, featuring marvellous padded, flower-shaped sleeves and soft lines in monochromatic beige linen, complemented by a matching scarf. As an alternative, an edgier black version with subtle gemstone embellishments offered a refined contrast.
The undeniable highlight of the night came from a powerful performance by a dance team wearing Emma Skyum’s all-black collection. Moving in perfect formation, their futuristic vampiric ensembles exuded strength before they broke into dynamic aerial movements and splits, showcasing the comfort and fluidity of the designs.
Al Marjan Collection transported us into a jungle fantasy, mesmerizing with pieces fit for a modern-day Poison Ivy, Tarzan’s Jane, or any wild heroine deeply in tune with nature. Sensual yet powerful, the designs made an unforgettable statement.
Then came IANIK CAY, showing me a side of denim I didn’t even know existed (and as a ’90s baby, that’s saying something). Their clean, geometric-patched designs balanced neutral tones with bold pops of colour, proving that denim can, indeed, be ground-breaking.
Finally, SYRA J pulled at my emotions once again, with their signature 3D floral embellishments accentuating glamorous, texturally rich designs—pompous, extravagant, and undeniably fit for a gala.
I left the show with a huge smile, my mind racing with inspiration, impatient to witness the next collections.
As my cab drove me towards Victoria Station, I stared at the moon, already obsessing over my favourite designs from the night.
